PIL, incorporated in 1967 by the Chang family, is now part of the Heliconia Capital Management investment firm based in Singapore. Ranked among the top 12 largest container ship operators globally, PIL has evolved from a humble coastal ship owner in Singapore to a carrier offering services across South East Asia, China, Indian Sub-Continent, Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Oceania.
In Australia, PIL operates multiple services between South East Asia, China, and all major Australian ports, connecting to PIL’s global network. We also offer fixed weekly domestic shipping services from Sydney and Melbourne to Fremantle.
Mariana Express Lines (MELL)
PIL Australia has been the agent for Mariana Express Lines since 2015. Founded in 1997, MELL is a container liner operator headquartered in Singapore. Focused on niche routes in the Asia-Pacific region, MELL has a strong reputation for transport efficiency and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Using Singapore and Shanghai as primary hubs, MELL’s international reach extends across South East Asia, the Indian sub-continent, China, Africa, the Middle East, South America, Oceania, Papua New Guinea, and the islands in the Northern Pacific.
